Beer Drinking games are as old as time. Who hasn't played Quarters, Three-Man, Thumper, Flip Cup or the Name Game. In college, late nights often led us to playing newly imagined games like hall bowling, tennis ball pitch hockey, frisbee soccer and various card games.
After a get together with my friends and a night of playing Beer Pong, I had an idea to combine a few of our favorite games (Cards and Beer Pong) and BUZZ SHOT was born! So crack open a beer and open a deck of BUZZ SHOT cards and let the fun begin.
If you like playing Beer Pong you're going to love BUZZ-SHOT! We've taken the greatest beer drinking game ever and raised it to the next level. We've developed a card game with simple instructions on how each player's "Shot" will be performed. In addition to the host's "House Rules", a player will simply need to flip over a card before they shoot and perform the shot instructions on the card. We know you will enjoy BUZZ-SHOT as much as we do. Have fun and drink responsibly!
āBUZZ SHOTā is a playing card game meant to be played with the game of Beer Pong. The game consists of a standard deck of 55 cards plus a Direction Card. Card size is the standard 2.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches high. Cards are made in the USA and are of high quality with plastic coating as these cards are expected to have some beer here and there spilled on them.
Once players agree to the āHouse Rulesā and are set to play āBUZZ SHOTā, the cards shall be shuffled and placed in the middle of the Beer Pong table or an agreed upon designed spot. If all cards are flipped over and used before the game ends the cards are to be re-shuffled and placed back in the middle of the table so the game can continue. The āHouseā may also use the option of shuffling together two decks of cards before the start of the game.ā
ā
Before each shot, the player or team will flip over a card which will have specific instructions for the player or team to follow. The instructions are fairly simple and directions for play are spelled out on each card. āBrian S: "I like beer pong. But I like Buzz Shot better."
Corrine S: "Cool game! Perfect for a house party."
Lauren V: "I loved pong before playing this game, and would play all the time with my friends, but after trying this game I don't think I will ever play the old version again. This game is so much fun to play. I cannot believe the ideas of different shots they came up with, and it's so funny to watch people play."
Jen L: "This was the best idea ever. I had no idea pong could be so much fun. Throwing a ball in a cup over and over again gets kind of boring after a few games, but with buzz-shot you don't have to worry about that. Because of the cards and the unique shots, you could play back to back to back games and not get bored. I love this game!"
Glenn P: "I have no idea how he came up with this game, but it's SUCH a good idea. It is so much fun and completely redefines pong. I absolutely love it!"
Joey D: "I loved buzz-shot. Pong is my favorite game. My friends tend to get pretty intense when we play in general, but with buzz-shot the competition was crazy. It was so much fun."
Anna W: "I really enjoyed playing this game. It provided a new and interesting twist to an old favorite, eliminating some of the boring parts of pong. I loved the intensity that the challenges provided, and felt it made pong way more fun."
Caitlyn R: "I loved the game because it put a new twist on the old beer pong. My friends and I usually play beer pong and it can get boring. When we played the game it was more fun and exciting, I would definitely suggest it for more people."
Michael M: "I came to the Hofstra Music Fest and felt that this was one of my favorite tables. I loved playing the game because it felt different then regular old beer pong. My favorite is the blind fold shot."
Ruthie S: "I'm not very good at pong, so playing was never really fun for me, but with buzz-shot I don't have to worry about my skills. The cards are a great idea for adding fun to the game. Regardless of your skill level, they challenge everyone. I mean have you ever tried to shoot blindfolded?"

Q. Beer Pong rules vary from house to house. Can I play BUZZ-SHOT with my house rules?
ā
A. Yes! Thatās the great thing about BUZZ-SHOT, it can be played regardless of differing āHouseā rules. Once the āHouseā rules are set, all that needs to be done is to flip over a card before each player shoots and follow the directions on the playing card.
Q. What are the rules for playing Buzz Shot?
A. The rules for Buzz Shot are very simple.
1. Normal "House" Beer Pong rules are in effect.
2. Shuffle the cards and place them face down in the middle of the table.
3. Each player will turn over a card before they shoot the ping pong ball.
4. The player will need to execute one of the 17 different shots as described on the playing card.
5. If all cards are played before the game has ended, reshuffle the cards and place them back, face down on the table.
6. Drink responsibly and have fun!
Q. I see there are 2 āHouse Shotā cards in the deck. What are these?
A. This is one of the most popular cards, where it allows the players to interact and write in their own āHouseā rules for the game. Past examples some of our customers have used would be, āIf the player makes their shot they get to continue shooting until they missā, āPlayer must face backwards and shoot ball over their shoulderā, āPlayer must shoot the ball behind their backā, "Miss a shot, remove a piece of clothing", etc. The rules for this card are endless, so use your imagination and let us know your favorite āHouse Shots".
Q. Does BUZZ-SHOT allow players to swat away bounce shots?
A. BUZZ-SHOT understands that many versions of āHouseā Beer Pong rules allow for swatting of bounce shots. As explained on the direction card, normal āHouseā rules are in effect, so the answer is yes. However, as many of the bounce shot card variations in BUZZ-SHOT can be difficult BUZZ-SHOT suggests that no swatting be allowed. At BUZZ-SHOT, we have played the game both ways and found most people find the game more enjoyable with no swatting. Again, this is just a suggestion and this should be decided before play begins.
